This interactive session will provide an overview of the challenging claims environment impacting business, corporate governance and boardroom risks. Through use of specific claims examples, claims statistics and claims trend activity, we will attempt to give a clearer understanding of risks facing boards and issues that should be addressed. Areas of discussion include increased regulatory scrutiny on activity of individual directors (and the desire to hold individuals accountable); the impact of international business activity; the rise of European shareholder class action; rise of litigation funders in Europe; possible impact of Brexit; increasing cyber claims activity and the potential impact on directors and officers liability;  practical tips for dealing with claims.
